3 Good Reasons Why You Should Build Your Own Large Dog House
For the average dog lover, I think it’s normal to just buy a large dog house from your local pet store. Saves you a lot of time and possible frustration ("Hey, I don’t even know a thing about building a house for my family - how much more for my pet?") which would mostly stress you out - is the common mindset of many.
But I’m guessing and believing that you’re the above average type of person who really loves his pet enough to consider building him his own large dog house. And for good reasons.
1. You save a lot of money. Market analysts reveal that you can normally save over 70% of your money by building your own dog house. That equates to hundreds of dollars saved and which can be spent in far better meaningful ways. Come to think of it, most of the pre-built dog houses out there still need to be assembled anyway. So in essence, you’re actually paying more for all the material and not for the finished product.
2. You can customize it for your own dog’s needs. One cool advantage of building your "buddy" his own large dog house is you can take into account some detailed concerns that most dog house vendors would miss out on. You can determine how high would be the ceiling, and if you have two dogs, you can decide if you’ll construct a duplex house with a partition in it (and can be removable so that they could sleep together). And how about those hot summers and cold winters? Your dog would appreciate you more if you consider fully insulating his "pad".
